But on the subway train from Queens to NYU, Olivia meets Patrick, a traveler trapped on the Broadway Line. Olivia is obsessed with helping her newfound friend, but soon realizes that she’s the one who needs to be saved when she draws too much attention from both the living and the dead. Can Olivia and Patrick help each other survive the perils of two different worlds that share a connection?

Congratulations to Morgan on his new release! Love the mysterious cover.

Morgan Locklear has written over six hundred songs, but Connection is his first novel. (Not counting Exposure, the book he co-wrote with his wife, Jennifer Locklear in 2014, and some rather wordy Twilight fanfiction). Connection began in November 2013 as a project for National Novel Writing Month, (NaNoWriNo). It only took four more Novembers to complete.

New Adult Sleepover Weekend #NASW

It was a blast attending the New Adult Sleepover Weekend 12/6 – 12/8 in Savannah, Georgia.

For those of you unfamiliar with the genre of “New Adult”, it refers to novels with characters ages 17-27. And it often includes some smokin’ hot romance!

I brought copies of my NA swimming romance Streamline, and met some fabulous authors and readers.

I’d chatted with author RL Griffin online and read her intriguing novel By a Thread, so it was a pleasure to join her for the Suspense panel (my first author panel). We had a good diversity of genres represented, and my favorite comment was RL drawling, “Y’all, Streamline had so much drama it was like a Lifetime movie!”

RL Griffin, Jennifer Lane, SM Boyce, Dawn Robertson

Then came the book signing, where I celebrated my Navy novel:

Cap’n Lane

Saturday evening capped off with a pajama party. Here I am in my robe with the super friendly author Kelsey Ketch:

The best part of Savannah was seeing my sister Susan, who lives nearby in South Carolina. Oh, and the weather was pretty awesome too. Here are Susan and my nephew doggie Auggie:

The long weekend ended all too soon, and I had to return to snowy Ohio. Boo!

Thank you to Stella Price and Authors After Dark for organizing the New Adult Sleepover Weekend.
