September is for Sequels #Giveaway Hop

Thanks to Lisa Loves Literature and I Am a Reader for hosting this giveaway.

Do you love sequels and series? I do. We grow to love characters in the first novel, and it’s a special treat to follow their journey in a sequel.

When I wrote my debut novel With Good Behavior, I didn’t intend to write a series. But I quickly realized that limiting the story to one novel would cut short the adventures I wanted to have with my characters. So I wrote a trilogy: The Conduct Series.

I’m giving away the ebook of Bad Behavior (The Conduct Series #2). Can two cons find happiness after the happily ever after? Sometimes it isn’t pretty, but true love with persevere. I’m a psychologist and this romantic suspense story features quite a few couples counseling sessions.

Enter on the Rafflecopter. With Good Behavior (The Conduct Series #1) is on sale for only $.99 HERE.

And don’t forget to enter to win a print copy of my new NA volleyball romance Blocked to the right!

On Best Behavior LAUNCH

The release of On Best Behavior (The Conduct Series #3) is HERE!

Julie from AToMR Tours hosts the book blast, and today’s stop is at Swept Away by Romance. Karla writes an awesome review, and there’s a giveaway of the entire series.

Here’s the video trailer of On Best Behavior:

Planning a wedding is never easy—especially when the Russian Mafia wants you dead.

On Best Behavior—the third and final book in The Conduct Series—finds our favorite couple moving forward, despite the odds. Following a pardon by the Governor of Illinois, ex-cons Sophie Taylor and Grant Madsen are finally free to pursue their love and the life that lies ahead for them. Grant now fights the forces that have hurt his loved ones by working undercover for the FBI, and he has infiltrated the Russian Mafia in Chicago. Sophie dives into swimming with Grant’s nephew, Ben, and into her career as a psychology professor. Thankfully, now it’s Ben’s turn to heal through therapy sessions with Dr. Hunter Hayes.

With so many things going right for Grant and Sophie, it’s too bad the Russians aren’t their only threat. When Grant’s father, Enzo Barberi, discovers his own son thwarted his plan to break out of prison, his overdeveloped sense of vengeance flares to life. As Sophie scrambles to save her fiancĂ©, it’s impossible to say who will kill Grant first—the Russians or his Italian family. Can love triumph over evil? Are hard work and a pledge to be on best behavior ever enough?

Once again, author Jennifer Lane brings a harrowing tale of romantic suspense with a psychological twist, and it’s sure to leave readers breathless.

Oh Sexy Boyyyyfriend! #OmniBookBoyfriend

Who’s ready for some smack down?

We are! We naughty ladies of Omnific Publishing toss our men into the ring to duke it out, mano a mano, muscle to muscle . . . and may the best book hero win.

Each author submits a photo representing her book hero, and readers vote for their favorites. There will be giveaways of ebooks, swag, and an Amazon gift card!

Love Between the Sheets will host the brackets for ultimate book boyfriend starting September 30.

So who are my contenders?

My shy book heroes have hung back, scoping the competition, but now they’re ready to reveal themselves.

No, my book boyfriend is not Long Duck Dong.

(Though he IS quite charming)

Allow me to introduce LEO SCOTT from Streamline:

Leo sends my mind straight to the gutter (the swimming pool gutter). He’ll conquer all book boyfriends in a pushup contest, and his sincere striving will break your heart.

And now the hero of The Conduct Series, GRANT MADSEN:

In With Good Behavior (#1 now only $.99) Grant shows he’s a good man taken down by his bad family. Now that he’s on parole, will they force him back into prison?

In Bad Behavior (#2) Grant battles demons from his past, with the help of his girlfriend Sophie and his psychologist Hunter.

In On Best Behavior (#3 launches 9-24-13) Grant finds that planning a wedding is never easy, especially when mobsters want you dead.

September is for SEQUELS Giveaway Hop

Thanks to Lisa Loves Literature and Kathy I Am A Reader for hosting this hop celebrating SEQUELS.

Are you a huge series fan like me? I love when subsequent books are even better than the first book in the series. Here are some of my favorite sequels:

Unlawful Contact (the I-Team #3) by Pamela Clare. An escaped convict who kidnaps his high school girlfriend to save his sister’s life? Awesome plot and swoon-worthy hero.

Lover Awakened (Black Dagger Brotherhood #3) by J.R. Ward. I’m not a vampire fangurl but I do love a wounded hero like Zsadist.

And the sequel I can’t WAIT to read is Losing Hope by Colleen Hoover. Hopeless was brilliant and I want to read Holder’s POV.

I have a sequel of my own launching 9-24-13: On Best Behavior (The Conduct Series #3). I want YOU to win the Advanced Reader Copy!

With Good Behavior (The Conduct Series #1) starts the mayhem of a convict love story, and I’m also giving away its sequel Bad Behavior (The Conduct Series #2).

About the Author

People fascinate the psychologist/author (psycho author) known as Jennifer Lane. Her therapy clients talk to her all day long about their dreams and secrets, and her characters tell her their stories at night. Jen delights in peeling away the layers to scrutinize their psyches and emotions. But please rest assured, dear reader, she isn’t psychoanalyzing you right now. She’s already got too many voices in her head!

Stories of redemption interest Jen the most, especially the healing power of love. She is the author of The Conduct Series—romantic suspense for adult readers—and recently completed the third and final installment: On Best Behavior. Streamline is her first foray into writing for young and new adults, but she’s found this sort of writing even more fun. A former college swimmer, Jen was able to put a lot of her own experiences into the story. Whether writing or reading, Jen loves stories that make her laugh and cry. In her spare time she enjoys exercising, attending book club, and hanging out with her sisters and their families in Chicago and Hilton Head.
