Rivals Sale and Writing Themes #IWSG

Alex Cavanaugh, thank you for starting the Insecure Writer’s Support Group! My gratitude also extends to the administrators who keep us going. Join us for our monthly blog posts.

I’m happy to co-host today along with Kalpana, Kim Lajevardi, Rebecca Douglass, and Cathrina Constantine!

Any volleyball or football fans out there? The Ohio State Buckeyes vs. Michigan Wolverines rivalry football game is around the corner. To celebrate, my sports romance Rivals is only 99 pennies for a limited time.

Now onto the IWSG post.

November 4 question – As a writer, do you have favorite themes that you like to explore in your stories?

As a writer of romance and suspense with a psychological twist, my overarching theme is healing through love. Life throws intense suffering our way at times. But we aren’t alone in our distress. In the midst of inevitable pain, we also receive a beautiful gift: being loved. In my novels, I strive to demonstrate the power of love to conquer every struggle. And if my characters need a little boost to accept that love, I throw them into therapy!

For ideas about adding theme without being preachy, I enjoyed this post.

My love for my niece brought me to South Carolina. We both dressed as felines for Halloween this year.

I hope you have a fantastic November.
