I spent New Years Eve with family watching my beloved Cincinnati Bengals lose, but I did enjoy altering a Nutella Christmas tree recipe to create a puff pastry NYE dessert:
January 3 question: Do you follow back your readers on BookBub or do you only follow back other authors?
Alas, my marketing efforts have fallen off across the board the past few years, including on BookBub. I am not involved on the site these days, but I have followed authors as well as readers in the past.
Have you ever run a BookBub ad? I was lucky to get one of my books, Blocked, on BookBub in the New Adult category years ago. However, I’ve tried many times since, to no avail, and it’s tough to feel motivated to continue to submit new deals.

I imagine it would be hard to market your books all the time. I haven’t read many posts where people found BookBub very helpful.

Like most of these sites, the bigger they get, the harder it is to market on them.

I did try and once a few years ago. I remember it took me a week to fine-tune the ad. But then my old MacBook got sick. I’ve a new one now so I’m going to give it another try soon. Happy New Year, Jennifer!

BookBud, hehe autocorrect! It’s golden if you get a deal, but it feels as likely as winning the lottery at this point!

I’ve tried for years to get my books in Bookbubs Newsletter. Only once, many years ago did they accept one. I’ve placed ads on Bookbub but it didn’t help sell any books. I will post reviews and recommends books that I liked.

Good to know the ads weren’t that helpful. I get really mad at Book Bub every time they reject my deal submission. 😀 Here’s to a great 2024!

On Goodreads and LibraryThing (which I fell off of) so hadn’t felt the need to join BookBub too. Until after this month’s QOTM, to check it out. Have yet to do ads but have done giveaways.
